Flowers | Animated Lighting Challenge
This is my submission for the February, 2024 lighting challenge held by Blue Sky Animation's Sr. Lighters, Michael Tanzillo and Jasmine Katatikarn in Academy Of Animated Art. Animated by Courtney Oberbeck.
I handled the look development, grooming, shading, environment, lighting, and compositing. Rendering was done in Cinema4D and Arnold, with compositing in Nuke. The majority of props and materials were sourced from the Quixel Megascans and Greyscalegorilla libraries.
This was my first experience with grooming. But I want to continue learning grooming, but now it is going to be in Houdini rather than Cinema 4D. Also, I learned a lot of new things during this project, such as some compositing tricks or even lighting tricks. This project took me 3 months including rendering time. It was a very interesting and fun journey!
I'm very grateful to founders of AAA community - P. Jasmine Katatikarn , Michael Tanzillo for providing such amazing and interesting challenges for lighting artists. And of course to Francesco for all the feedback he gave me (and patience haha) for several months.
I learned a lot of knowledge during this project. It was a very interesting and fun journey!
